Hot Air Balloon Ride

WHEN?
Flights are conducted throughout the year, with mid-summer sunrise at 05h00 and mid-winter sunrise at 06:30. We meet 45 minutes before sunrise at the Sun Catchers Launch site.

WHAT TO EXPECT?
We will meet you about 45 minutes before sunrise. Tea and coffee will be served while you watch the balloons being inflated. The flight will be approximately 1 hour in duration. The terrain is a mixture of farmland and riverine forest. The mountains provide a scenic backdrop and shelter from the prevailing winds.

Our pilots and crew will ensure a safe, enjoyable, and informative adventure that will be one of the highlights of your visit to the Kruger to Canyon Biosphere. After the flight, the customary sparkling wine will be served, and a flight certificate will be presented.

Booking Details

Information we require to confirm a booking:
Date of flight.
First name, last name, and weight of each passenger.
Name of the accommodation where you will stay the night before the flight and contact number.
A mobile number to contact you the day before to reconfirm the flight.
Self-drive or Transfer?
The contact telephone number where we can reach you the day before the flight to reconfirm as soon as we receive the weather update.
Reservations must be completed and confirmed by 15:00 to be loaded on the flight manifest for the following day.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Cancellation policy:
Cancellation on the part of a passenger less than 24 hours before the commencement of the flight: 50% of the total cost.
No show without any notification: 100% of the total cost.
Cancellation on the part of the operator: No Charge.
We might be forced to cancel a flight if wind or rain is expected. We do our utmost to get accurate weather information to confirm or cancel a flight at 2 p.m. the day before a flight..
